Sound City & The Micro-Tour

We played two Liverpool Sound City shows last week. Wednesday at The Shipping Forecast, which is a brand new venue in Liverpool on Slater Street. The place has a wicked PA and the sound was awesome, just shame about the fact that no-one upstairs seemed to know there was a gig going on downstairs. Nevertheless fun was had and it was good to see Shadow Cabinet again. Those guys sound and look about as German as one could be without actually being German - beautiful technopop with moody lighting and sharp shirts.

On Friday we played at MelloMello. The atmosphere was incredible and as we played at midnight, a lot of people were a little bit drunk and really let go. Below is a (grainy) snap of the guy who danced so hard on a table that he eventually fell off. Luckily there was no lasting damage, so we applaud you for your efforts if you're reading.

micro tour

This Friday sees the start of what we've dubbed our micro-tour (as it's even shorter than a mini tour).

Firstly, the launch of Look.See.Disco! a new night at MelloMello in Liverpool. We're playing alongside Statement Haircut, Man Eats Plane, On Cruise, The Kronos and Wasted Time DJs. Entry is £2, doors at 7:30pm.

Secondly, is the third day of the Adventures In The Beetroot Field bank holiday weekender curated by none other than Huw Stephens. The event is taking place at the Lock Tavern in Camden, London. We'll be playing alongside The High Wire, Mr.Fogg, DJ Felson and Huw Stephens. It kicks off early, at 4pm and will go on well in to the night, and all of this for FREE!

Thirdly, our first trip to Wales. Cardiff to be exact. We'll be playing at a litle place called Gwdihw (pronounced "goody hoo") alongside one man math rock master, Theo. Entry is on a donation basis and doors are at 8pm.

That's all for now, we'l get back to working on some new tunes that none of you will hear for a while...
